"They don't have jobs, decent homes. What else could they do?" "Burn, baby, burn," someone whooped, to a chorus of laughing applause."-Aug 30,1965 Newsweek article on the Watts riots of Los Angeles. You MAY be right, but I'd sooner guess that Sir Paul was commenting on that, than disco.the Beatles & others were all about peace & love in the 60's.Watts turned that upside down.I have reserched & found NOTHING on your disco reference, but I have been wrong before.

part 2: Anyway, many books in France relate the facts, now that ev'rybody but 4 soldiers in the world are dead. A bit like the JFK-assassination files become public in 2038, nov'22. They just make it sure nobody "guilty" can be filed... one exception: nazi and stalinists behaviour that have been massively punished in the very next year (see nuremberg and cominf in of Krouchtchev)

Oh yeh, just before the critisism starts. I am a big beatles fan, not knocking Paul in any way...

Burn Baby Burn is a reference to Disco... Burn Baby Burn, Disco Inferno... Paul was not happy with the Disco movement, Fact...! Anybody want to challenge that? Hope so cos Im up for the debate, bring it on....

Hello my friend where can i find the footage?would be very intrested if it was recorded by both sides and avalible to view.I know of a dozen British and German stories that night but no french interaction, would be great if you could get back to me with a link

The event 2 which I refer happened the very same day, but I realize Paul aknowledges another thing of the same stuff. The one I refer 2 was filmed both by german and french crew, and the shooting of french "mis-behavers" was filmed by the official french army, and hasn't gone public until 1999.

?This event did happen between British and German soldiers as portrayed in this video check out "Not a shot fired" by Regimental Sergeant Major George Beck (god rest his soul)German and British exchange smokes and drinks and play football.Amazing really, but there was hell to pay for this and it would never happen again.

700 soldiers, french, were FIRED the same night, by THEIR own camp, on the order of FeldMarschall Joffre for "this offense to war state". I have shame 4 my home land. Paul describes a real story that was filmed, dec 24/1914. You see in the original videos, the bombing coming from FRENCH side, just in the middle of the "nowhereland" where german& french soldiers were havin brotherhood. Actually, they never played football this day. |
