Thanks for the correction Longshank64 -- it WAS in Paris. So I repeat my polite request to US visitors to Europe -- Save your applause to the end. It is an interruption to the singer, and irritates your European hosts when you applaude during the first few bars of the artist's performance. We want to hear them, not you.
