BumFunGremlin...I made an effort to listen to several of their songs, not just one, and found the same themes in most of their work. Anyway, did you check 'fields of france' or not? ps listen to Saxon 'power and the glory' or their classic 'crusader' but Saxon did not get stuck in that type of lyrics. Never mind. Judas Priest is the ultimate no ULTIMATE metal band. Full stop.

again maybe your right about one song but that is not a basis to build the idea that all manowar songs are about

BumFunGremlin...In music I do not look for good lyrics, If I want some kind of message, I read a book. Did you check out 'fields of france' though? Then you might understand why I complain about Manowars lyrics.

Hey man maiden rocks, but being fit is actually a good thing. Think about what would Erick do if he where a punny little wimp, he'd run out of breath in a hearbeat. Maybe he could sing two shows and suck the rest of the tour same thing goes for the others. Manowar is king by design not by chance, Manowar just plain rocks and they have the stamina to keep it that way!Hail from Mexico !

nope britain. But don't cry because manowar do have decent lyrics though in some of their songs it gets a bit repetetive. SAXON and MANOWAR best metal bands EVER (new saxon cd coming out soon whoooooooooooo)

1) BumFunGremlin...Go check out any of the live footage you find here on Youtube with Saxon. Saxon does not make a show of their appearance, they just kick ass. Same for Maiden, same for Obituary etc. But admit that Manowar's lyrics are just too ..yawn..Of course they are skilled musicians, but trapped in their own concept of battle-metal. One other thing, go check out 'fields of france' and you will understand that Manowar's perception of 'battle' is way too romantic(read;silly)
