homework takes up so much of my free time,and what is it actually for i mean i do it but it really does annoy me,+ my school is really strict about hwk..its really mean,teachers think its for our own good or to help us understand the subject more...let me see does it do any of that,no! i just write the answers down from the infomation of have i don't learn anything extra + its soo boring!!!....im glad to know im not the only one with the trouble though

i agree...i stay up until about 1:00 am eveyday, and get up at 6:00 am (i live off 4-5 hours of sleep everyday. I am on anxiety meds cuz of school, my parents dont get it cuz they never had this much...i'm also a competitive dancer and practive 5 days a week for about 3 hours. I hate this life

cont'd. Like say your at a grocery store, the clerk isnt going to say your bill is x-9(-4.4064)(cos)* the atomic mass of helium. Get my point? Is there really any point of living your childhood when your working all the time? What needs to be done is to reverse this trend that is happening. Teach students what they need to know in life and not the excessive amounts of usless things.

Man Im glad im not only guy out in the world who is pissed off the way we are eduacated. The reason why we are getting bombarded with homework is because we are constantly competing with other countries. Which country gets the most homework? Japan, hence them being really smart. The question is where is it going to stop? Are things going to be even worse for our kids? What truly piss me off is that fact that most of stuff we learn we will never need in real life.

So very true, I'm 17 and a Junior in High School, I have very little time to do anything I like to do and I'm always under stress, I fear my life has dropped a few years because of the amount of stress I'm usually under. I have 20+ pages of work to get to, I'm procrastinating because of the stress.

8 hours sleep, 8 hours rest and 8 hours recreation- that's what it should be. With a 7hour school day, an hours homework is reasonable but NO it has to be THREE and usually more.
