It is a cool song! Didn't get that high on the charts here in the US; it peaked at #27 in Sept. '68. Al had a big #1 hit here in Jan. '74 that apparently was never released in the UK; it's called "Show and Tell," my absolute favorite from high school (class of 1976). It still melts the heart and turns the knees to rubber; beautiful poetic lyrics with great delivery and music. Give a listen, I hope you like it!

just figured it out the intro of this song was used for the ads for judge John deed a couple of series ago and it sounds like the same guy who did the wedding song for dr who the runaway bride

First time I ever heard a version of this was in the USA series Northern Exposure, was gr8by the girl who sang it in that too!
