Listen I don't like their new CD but their older stuff is amazing. The sound on this one is bland but the lyrics are amazing as usual. They didn't steal anything from mettallica, if anything they stole the idea for this music video from countless books and movies that deal with a dystopian future with a plague that makes people an outcast. Go to the library and read sometime.
