they have 3-d video for gaming, I've been wanting it, true color stereovision, be nice to have the display built in the goggles for parallax viewing ,might be easier on optic related muscle over the ancient anaglyph method of creating the illusion of depth on a 2-d plane, which is nice, but after halfway thru a movie, they have you flip the red blue orientation and afterward vision is tinted in each eye and a headache develops.

Bullshit, now that we all are biometric photosaved why would anyone build surveillance with such an easily avoided technology. This is an enabling technology for artists and creative people.

This is true, it's not new technology, it's been in development for a long time now. But the ability to do it cheaply IS new. Pixel shaders for instance... They act like it's a new technology, but it was invented by Ken Perlin back in 1984.

it's not new, that's right. but this technology is now sophisticated AND available for standard pcs.i can't remember there've been game-system or something similar till today. but in the next couple of years there will be thing's like that open to the public. |
