Antonio VIVALDI Guitar Concerto in D (RV93) by HET CONSORT

Antonio Vivaldi's (Venezia 1678 - Vienna 1741) CONCERTO (RV 93/F.XII n.15) 'con 2 Violini, Leuto, e Basso'consists of three movements; the work starts off with a lively opening ALLEGRO and a slow but very charming LARGO followed by a fast ALLEGRO to close with.As the title mentions this composition was originally composed for a lute accompanied by 2 violins and an unspecified bass.Today it is known and mostly heard as a concerto for guitar and chamber orchestra. Here it is performed by the Dutch Mandolin Chamber Orchestra HET CONSORT with the orchestras conductor Alex Timmerman as the soloist performing the lute part on guitar.Thanks go to mr.
