It's awesome, and your editing is masterful, powerful, and touching.

actually, Hitler was not elected by democracy. in fact, he never held an elected office in his life. he was appointed chancellor of Germany by a cabal of powerful right wing (many of them God-fearing)politicians who thought (foolishly)that they could control him. the idea that the worst dictator in history was elected democratically or "by one vote" is a popular misconception. But I agree the message is FANTASTIC, and the quote from St. Luke is awesome, but I understand why he excluded it.

I think he speaks on multiple levels:"Science and progress" - seems to mean to awaken in the listeners the demand for real progress, NOT the kind that has us kill each other better..."Kingdom of God" - Seems to mean to awaken people's conscience as to how harming one another is against our Creator.

In the name of science and progressKingdom of god...metaphor?

djpI sure would like to see what you can do with the full speech (including the call to Hannah - and the moving beyong words part of "The Beginning").

djpI understand your goal, but maybe his faith is PRECISELY at the heart of his message? Trying to make a "brotherhood of people" without God (without a Supreme Someone who cares about EACH one of us)has failed. It was tried by Heggel - producing communism, nazism (godless regimes causing mass genocides) and today's western despair of an atheistic meaningless life-of-the-void, where major parts of the population suffer clinical depression. Friend, we need a Common Ground beyond humanity.

Sefardi123thanks for the comment, the reason I did not include the the bible quote is that I wanted to appeal to the widest audience possible. I did not want the listener's religious views to get in the way of the message.

EVERYONE who LIKES this vid - You just HAVE to see the original (where the part where he mentions "the kingdom of God" is sadly & deliberately ommitted). It's longer too, and will probably make you cry and move you beyond words. To see, Copy & paste this in Utube search bar:?v=MZu2bIe6O80 |
