I wasn't rationalizing America's view of dental hygine based on your and salaco-human's comment alone. I've just always noticed that a lot of americans happen to notice the state of people's teeth a lot, iz all. [like in my french class, they were all over that and I didn't understand what the big deal was]. Just joking around. Besides, it's not neccesarily a bad thing to view teeth as a high priority.
