first in a two part series with rob Williams of psych-k. (if anyone has the part with R. williams please post it!) 'the bottom line is, genes do NOT control our biology, that an assumption made years ago that was never even proven scientifically - it just seemed so correct that we bought the story ... if the mechanism actually worked according to the textbooks, ie. if the genes control biology, then at least 120,000 genes would be required to make a human. but when the human genome projects results were in, ... it was discovered that 2/3rds of the genes (needed to support their model) were missing. Its not that the genes were missing, it was the understanding that was wrong. "We have to come to a new way of understanding biology. This 'new' understanding has actually already been in the leading edge of science for 10 years now. It takes at least 10 or 15 years for science to take a fact from its first inception and get it out into the public so that the people can understand it. That means anything in current textbooks is at least 10 or 15 years old. what your going to hear tonight is whats going to be the future textbooks. Is it belief or will?

I experimented with positive mental attitude whilst observing my thought patterns when witnessing someone sneezing . After years of experimentation . I concluded that given well being I.E .Bless you ..when someone sneezes: protects you from contracting the cold .. where as thinking errr I hope they don't give me a cold .. opens you up for the receiving their ills. I found it that simple. Think positive stay well and even help others get better.

i really admired your sense of appreciating the fact that we are still learning, whatever is new is usually rejected at the first sight!!! what dr.Bruce said, and i respect his expertise,is merging the wholeness of understanding the concept of effects and effectors around us,,in a scientific way with just focusing on the genes role in our life as the only influence of our life, he just changed the concept of this thinking!

I'm always entertained with peoples ability to hear things that people haven't said. Then to write off an entire concept based on what they decide was said. Nothing said about particle physics, nothing about cell division...my suggestion to all of us, and this comes from the experience of working with people, is to suspend thinking till the listening is done. If the listening and learning isn't done today we will find ourselves at the same point months or years from now facing the same chore.

Apparantly you all have more experience on this subject and probably a better PhD than Mr. Lipton. Nice, but why haven't I ever heard from any of you wiseguys?

To clarify my comment below: There is nothing strange with having the behavior of a cell not controlled by a nucleus-brain, but having the behavior built into the design. Just like a tree doesn't have a brain. The behavior of the totality is built-in into the design of its parts. The thing with a cell is that it contains a blueprint for itself so it can reproduce, *thats* what the nucleus is important for.
