The shark bit is from the original version. Spielberg did not invent man's fear of sharks.

I got to know this film before I saw "Jaws", so the first time I noticed this part of the film AFTER watching Spielberg I was puzzled... How could Tati foresee a film from 1975? - The answer is, of course, that he kept editing and changing his films :)
