Your assertion that it's true desire/love without other motivation is off base. While Humbert is stuck in a moment & still searching for his childhood love, Lo is stuck in her younger childhood without a father. She's searching for a replacement. Reference the magazine clipping on her wall that shows a small child being carried on a man's shoulders on which she's written Humbert's name. The sexual component is a device in which to keep the man, not one in which to please him.

Yes, which is not as bad to most people than if it were his modus operandi. My response is more relegated to the general concept of a girl's infatuation with an older man, not just the premise of the movie.
