"Nuiceltico": I suppose you´re referring to Henryk Górecki´s "Symphony of Sorrowful Songs" (his third symphony), impressive creation. It´s from 1976, not the 90´s, but the most appreciated recording is the London Sinfonietta one (1992) with the direction of David Zinman and Dawn Upshaw as soprano. Greetings from Madrid

If this was expanded to full opera...Shakespeare, eat your heart out!

Diese Musik ist einfach nur genial. Ich kann mich DoctorJanitor nur anschließen - ich wünschte es gäbe eine ganze Oper.

When i first heard it in the movie Hanibal - a movie that intoduced me to this beautiful piece of music, but also to two of the most horrific scenes I've ever seen - I went to four different Music stores looking for the full opera and they all came back to me saying there ws no such thing. I just did a quick google and I read that Patrick Cassidy is working/ worked on an album with a similar feel to Vide Cor Meum, that was due out late last year....I wish there was a full opera.

I heard this for the first time on that interview as well, which brought me here too. Beautiful. |
