Please educate yourself before believing Mr. Stossel. This video ia full of ignorance and half truths. And the OXYMORON comment is way off. Do you think oil companies drill for gasoline? No they drill for OIL. The oil is refined using fossil fuel. Ethanol is not driving up food prices. Corn and oil prices are low but yet food prices remain high. Why?

AMEN the other thing is that ethanol has recently led to higher corn prices we sell that corn to other countries making money for the US and the midwest. The only problem is that fertilizer prices have risen to over 1000 dollars a ton so farmers are still nowhere close to rich hell we can barely break even and usually lose money. the people out there who despise ethanol do not understand basic economics and should learn a thing or two before complaining

First time I've agreed with this arrogant fuck-wad.Ethanol makes as much sense as an electric powered Hummer. Stossel seems to enjoy taking contrarian viewpoints on issues. But, dickhead as he is, he be pro ethanol if it were unpopular politically. He'd just find some "experts" who'd go on camera to validate his opinion.

re: JimbogfWell the issue isn't so much "edible food" as it is scarce resources such as:Fresh WaterAmmoniaPhosphorousPotassiumFarm LandIt also has to do with the raw limitations of photosynthesis itself.greyfalcon. net/ biolimits.png

That's because people are too poor to drive cars. They historically have the worst rates of inequality of income. |
