what was her score?
Dunntosh (June 12, 2008 at 6:50 am)
With the exception of the 1985 World Championships, when Elena Shushunova & Oksana Omelianchik tied for the gold...

i agree it sucks that chellsie won...it goes down as the closest competition in history though, with chellsie only winning by .001

They were exactly tied, which is why they went to higher start values as the tie breaker I suppose, at least that's the only story I've ever heard. If it was a rounding 'error' I'm sure there would have been a lot more attention paid to it. I like to think of them as 'tied' though, it sucks that they gave it to Chellsie, whatever the reason.

i thought that it was a rounding "error" that cost nastia the gold...if everything had been carried out to the last decimal point and not rounded, they would've been tied. i had never heard it was related to start values...

Oh ok! Thank you so much! :)

Chellsie had a harder SV, Start Value, on VT - 9.8 (DTY) to Nastia's 9.7 (1.5TY) - they had 10 SV's on the other events. |
