It always weirds me out, when i see movies where all living paticipants, animals and humans, are now dead, having said that, old movies often have a lot of story quality.

Yep, that's definitely Mabel Normand. Another silent Hollywood female legend with a tragic story behind her. She died at 35. There seems to be a lot of them. Thelma Todd and Jean Harlow come to mind.

That's the jazz I remember from New Orleanw where I grew up. Is the first lady Mabel Normand?My grandmother used to play piano for the silents. On opening night, they usually had a band or an orchestra play the score.

I use to watch the Keystone Cops every morning whilst waiting for the school bus (keeping an eye on the time by a table clock). One particular morning, the show was running long, I turned the clock back 20 minutes so I would have enough time to finish watching the show and still be able catch the bus....ah, childhood innocence. |
