Well, I'd say that it's kind of nice to have 'Ka Mate' ingrained in our culture like it is.

In New Zealand (with a 'EA', the island may have been discovered by the Danish first, but it was named officially by Captain Cook), The haka is a traditional Maori dance. 'Ka mate' is A haka that was written in the early 19th century by Te Rauparaha to celebrate his survival in the aftermath of battle. Not really a war chant, although it has become a challenge. |
