There is a book!!! It came out last August and the title is: "The Good That Men Do". Great book and it creates a very nice continuation. The sequel of this book is coming out on July 15 2008. In a few days only!!

Very nice! Better send off than the last episode that I totally reject. All we can hope is some day a decent book is published refuting the events, or better yet, T'Pol going back in time to save her love. That would make a great movie. Well we can hope right?

I don't care where Gene got it from. I enjoyed what he did. I had a good childhood with Startrek and it's vision of a planet with no hunger, no war, no borders. I just hope you like it too.And there is no "US" or "YOU" or "THEM". If we continue to play the game of those who want to have borders on this planet then we are all doomed.

And if they didn't base the Dominion on the USSR, they based it on "The English Empire" or "Britain". "Dominion" Is a British Imperial word. Before Canada was Canada, it was known as "The British Dominion of Canada", until 1812 of course; which they don't teach Americans in history class at all.

They also borrowed the word "Federation" from either "the Russian, or Soviet Federation" or perhaps the "Yugoslav" federation which was the closest thing at the time that resembled your "Federation of planets". Your changlings are also based on ancient Slavic demons, before Slavs became Christian. For example in Norse mythology, Loki could change into whatever demon he wanted. And in Greek Myth, Zeus changed his appearance to get laid and produce warrior children like Hercules, maybe evenAchiles

They based your Dominion on the USSR. And they based your "federation of planets" on the "United States", or the common lie of what the USA was in the minds of the people. Your "USS" starship insignia is the American Naval ship Insignia. You have an educated well read man here explaining it to you how it really is. What you call fantassy was actually recycled from history and twisted. Gene didn't have that good of an imagination. I could do the same thing.
