For all of you who are saying this is anti-religious, he has a right to his own opinion. If you actually read about your religion then you would be accepting of his veiws even though they arent the same as yours. Why not find out about other religions for a change? stop bitching about stuff you dont know about.This is a very good poem, I must agree with most of it.

This reading isn't about whether god exists. It's about how god is a convenience item for people. About how invoking god is used to further one's own goals. The reason the reader doesn't care if god exists is because, in the end, it doesn't matter--your prayers and petitions get answered or not and you'll think it's his action or not. Doesn't matter.
