thank you for being so concerned about me 'alltheseclever1' (sarcasm), but i'm well aware of the consequences for acting out on my beliefs, as you put it. just because a man defends homosexuals, doesn't necessarily mean he's a homosexual. though i have had fantasies about 12 and 14 year old girls before (who hasn't), i probably wouldn't act on them because i find women in general to be more attractive than young girls, not that that's any of your buisness.

however, i'm not the type of person who blindly follows authority. if i thought i could get away with something i really wanted to do, i probably would, i have before. you sound like one of those people who blindly follows authority no matter how unjust or arbitrary that authority may be. one more thing, why don't you try attacking my ideas rather than my spelling? 'longinus maximus' i think you have to wrong idea here and you clearly think that having a sexual relationship with a twelve year old is okay. i really hope you dont act on your beliefs because you would find yourself in a lot of trouble. i love this book and the film is alright but i in no way agree with what Humbert did and whatever you say or however the world was fifty years ago, it is illegal now. also, you need to learn to spell and stop using racist terms for black people.

Interesting you should say that. In ancient Greece, teenage boys were assigned an adult mentor who would teach them about being a man; and they would also have sex together. The Greeks saw it as an important part of growing up; but then it was their culture.

what about humbert, he may be just a character in a film, but i'm sure there are plenty of people out there like him. you assume that it's the power imbalance that pedophiles are looking for, but how do you know that it's not a desire to experience that innocent and unjaded love that perhaps only a child could give you. a love that was lost durring some tragic accident which claimed the life of your first love. clearly you haven't learned anything from this film. |
