Jon Stewart was dead on. His show is meant to be comedy... a joke. If you're a show on CNN, and you don't take the responsibility seriously and don't ask the questions you need to ask... then it's YOUR fault. Don't haggle the guy who got the guest you couldn't get... just because said guest is looking for a few laughs on a joke segment...The world isn't filled with serious people, and we all want to laugh from time to time.

he's a news media satirist. the whole idea of satire is to bring problems to the forefront of society. in "bitching" on his show, he is in fact doing something about it. he brings issues to society, many of whom aren't otherwise politically informed. he does a service, much like anyone else.

Jon doesn't really do anything to change the problems he talks about, he just bitches about them and makes jokes. Then blames others for not doing what he didn't do.
