I almost don't think you want to make it "big" these days unless you just want tons of money and want to be on TRL.Listen to your local Top 40 station. It's terrrible. A lot of rap/hip hop songs, I kissed a girl, the Lollipop song...The only decent radio stations out there are some of the ones that play a mix of current, and 90's and 80's songs.I think among people who really love songwriters and good music Mat Kearney is fairly popular. I think he's really good, and love this song!

Good point. I guess I always think "Biggest" is best. Mat is definately a great talent! He's probably right where he wants to be.
